Our Story
2024 Canadian Choice Award Winner in the category of Wellness Products for Armstrong, BC — We’re Terryn and Graeme Corbett, owners of Om Naturale, and along with our sons Narayan and Bodhi, we get to spend our days on our solar-powered Omstead Farm in beautiful Armstrong, BC. We plant, grow, harvest, dry, infuse, process, and create — preferring more time outside than in, and never afraid to get our hands dirty. We adhere to organic and regenerative agriculture practices, and we wildharvest and grow ingredients right here on our farm. When we aren’t farming, we … just kidding — we’re always farming! Thankfully, we can always rely on a little help from our friends, big and small, two-legged and four.
Our Philosophy
At Om Naturale, we strongly believe there is NOTHING GREEN ABOUT PLASTIC, so we package in home-compostable paper and/or reusable glass or tin. We care deeply about utilizing ethically sourced, natural ingredients, including organic, local, and wildharvested. We’re also always looking for new ways to give back and support our community at home and worldwide, backing local and global initiatives related to water, trees, plastic reduction, women & children in need, and donating to local charities, sporting events, schools, and programs.
The Omstead Farm
Welcome to The Omstead Farm — a four-acre plot where we grow and wildcraft many of the ingredients that go into our line of personal care products. We consistently grow apples, garlic, plantain, comfrey, calendula, violets, st. john's wort, poplar, lavender & roses which we process into our Om Naturale products. Over the years we’ve also raised poultry, laying hens, cattle, and sheep. We are also currently home to bees from the Okanagan Honey Company.
Sustainability & Community
As of October 2022, Om Naturale & our farm are 100% solar powered — a huge accomplishment for us and a dream come true. It reflects our commitment to sustainability through our work and our farm. Since landing on The Omstead, we’ve gone from complete novices to being somewhat productive farmers, and while we still have a lot to learn, we’re not afraid to make mistakes — especially with a network of farmers’ market friends who are never short on advice. We actively partner with other farmers and local businesses to grow our community of forward thinkers, because … what do you want tomorrow to look like?
Giving Back
Om is proud to give back! Om Naturale is always looking for ways to improve the world we live in — and to support the people, causes, and organizations committed to strengthening our local community, protecting the earth (especially water and trees), and uplifting families, women, and children. We partnered with Greenspark to expand our positive impact by planting trees, offsetting carbon emissions, reforesting kelp, providing access to clean water, protecting bees both on the farm & worldwide and rescuing ocean-bound plastic.
Local
Since 2008, Om Naturale has supported organizations and events — and has also given directly to families in need. We often help in ways that don’t come with charity numbers or tax receipts, because sometimes the most meaningful support is the simplest: free shipping for a single mom, a gift basket for a fundraiser, a pick-me-up for a local family, or a small boost for a community group or event.
Trees
Om Naturale has planted trees since 2008 and has more recently partnered with Earth Lungs & Coastal Kelp to continue our commitment for Earth Positive Change. To date, Om Naturale has planted over 2400 trees worldwide and planted close to 1000 kelp right, here in BC. Every order you place plants 1 Tree and 1 Kelp.
Water
In 2019, OM began donating with Water First, an NGO that helps address local water challenges in First Nations communities through education, training, and meaningful collaboration. We’re pleased to share that Om Naturale continues to provide access to clean drinking water through The Water Project. Every order you place provides 1 day of clean water.
For a greener tomorrow
We are also partnered with; Plastic Bank helping to clean up our oceans and reduce plastic waste, The Earth Lungs Bees Project who help to enhance pollination and support biodiversity and A UN project committed to reducing CO2 emissions. Together we have rescued over 4500 plastic bottles from the ocean, protected over 7500 bees and reduced CO2 emissions by over 4.5 tonnes, so far. With your continued support, every order rescues 4 plastic bottles, protects 20 bees and offsets 4kg of CO2.
